My Favorite Form Of Self Care

Sometimes when things get hectic, I rely on one thing that helps me stay sane (aside from eating food). And that is…taking a nap!

I think many of us take naps for granted, especially when we get older. Of course, handling children and trying to squeeze in a few winks is difficult to do so. That’s why I try my best to take one either during my lunch break or when I’m finally finished with my work. Those 10-15 minutes are pure bliss.

What’s your form of self care?

Earworm

Lately, I’ve been getting more earworms every day when I wake up before I go to work.

I’m not sure if it’s my brain’s way of saying Take a break; listen to this tune that you haven’t heard since your high school years.

The last earworm was “Take on Me” by a-ha. Hey, my brain has good taste in music, after all.

Still, I find myself dancing to the tune when it gets worse and I can’t concentrate. Seems to be the method that works for me to get rid of it. Or am I really encouraging my earworm to stay in?

Apologies for the lack of comic updates. If you swing over to my main website, you’ll notice that I’ve been posting my updates on a visual novel that I’ve been creating during NaNoRenO 2019. The game is completed, so it’s expected to be released on March 28, 2019.

Hopefully, I’ll be able to draw more comics until then 😊

What earworms you’ve encountered lately? Would love to hear your thoughts 💭

Why you should leave an introvert alone

It’s not you. It’s me.

Well…that depends on the person and the situation. Still, I’m selective on how I like to spend my time 🙃

Being an introvert is not about purposely pissing off folks just to be left alone. A lot of times, we just want that solitude to recharge our batteries. I’m pretty sure there are other folks that I’ve declined invitations wonder as to why I don’t want to mingle and socialise.

I’m content living at home, doing my activities and tending to my personal businesses.

Betsy, on the other hand…well, she makes sure to have her boundaries in place 🐮

Introverted peeps – let me know in the comments on how you cope with situations like these.

Happy December

Happy December, fam. We are at the last month of the year. Can’t believe that 2018 has been filled with exciting and life changing moments for me.

Speaking of exciting – I found my stash of Prismacolor Markers while cleaning my office. I’ve bought them about two – three years ago and quite surprised that it hasn’t dried out! I felt pretty giddy and decided to find my stationary heavy stock paper and did a quick sketch of my chubby cow standing next to a holly plant.

These were the markers I’ve used to create my little artwork. I’m hoping to incorporate some more traditional art on my page. I had to keep reminding myself that there’s no copy and paste function when making the circles round 😅 oh, how far we’ve come with technology these days…

What are your plans to make December memorable? Would love to hear your thoughts 💭

-D.
