Happy first day of Autumn / Mabon! My witchy heart feels more alive during this time of year. Seeing the leaves on the ground with the crisp and cool air makes me feel nostalgic. Betsy is looking forward to posting more tarot card readings on Instagram and Twitter now that we have more time in the day to focus on channeling our messages from the Universe.
For a long time, I always felt that my plush animal cow was a familiar. It’s currently not viable for me to adopt a cat (although I took care of them while growing up). Mostly due to the heart ache that I’ve felt years ago when I lost my beloved childhood pet to cancer. My husband and I found Betsy during our local trip to the mall (which you can interact from the first episode of Moo Times of Betsy here). Recently, I encountered this post that lovingly explains that yes, it is possible to do so.
Most of my work involves healing, protection and boosting creativity. In a nutshell, I’m an arts, crafts and tech bruja. Additionally, I would channel the motherly and sassy energy from Betsy to the readings that I provide for my friends and family members. My husband jokes that Betsy has a mind of her own whenever we have her sitting on top of the other plush animal cows. On certain days, Betsy would tip over (even if she was sitting up perfectly). I recently got a palmistry pillow from Michael’s Craft Store for Betsy to prop herself up when we share the daily tarot card readings on the Instagram account.
The good news is that there’s no slowing down for Betsy as she’s eager to do more witchy work. Samhain will be here soon before you know it. Now, if only I can loom knit a witch’s hat for Betsy to wear…
Hope you’re having a magickal time, my friends. I’ll see you on my next post!
Brace yourself. PSL season is here 🎃
Betsy is having a hard time coping with new products that are pumpkin spice latte themed. She’s okay in seeing the usual drink at her local Moobucks. Anything else…well, her facial expressions says it all 😅
In any case, I’ve yet to purchase these oddities at my local grocery stores. Although, I’m not sure if pumpkin spice latte scented socks are a real thing 🤔 then again, I don’t think I want it to exist 😂 For now, you can check out the available pumpkin spice theme products here.
I find that pumpkin spice latte drinks are too sweet for my own taste buds. I usually resort to crafting my own version using less sugar and more emphasis on the pumpkin taste (i.e using actual pumpkin purée and not the syrup kind). Not only it’s cheaper to make, but it’s satisfying when going the DIY route. Another good alternative? This Pumpkin Spice tea blend by Adagio has been my go-to favorite brand for when I want to feel cozy and not worry about burning my wallet with expensive drinks.
Are you a fan of pumpkin spice latte? Hate it? Let me know in the comments below.
Happy Thanksgiving! Aside from feeling grateful for my family and close friends, I’m thankful that I am able to share my cow comics and animations with everyone. While I don’t look at viewership as much, it’s amazing to see many of you liking and commenting on my comics.
Really, you are udderly fantastic 🐮
I used to cook for Thanksgiving. Then, laziness crept up and decided not to go forward. Until my husband and I discovered that our local Popeyes restaurant has a Cajun turkey for sale. Ever since then, we make it a tradition to buy it. Saves us from seasoning the turkey.
What are you grateful for on Thanksgiving? Any plans for the day? Would love to hear your thoughts 💭
Happy Diwali everyone! May Lakshmi bless you with abundance, joy and happiness.
I’ve had some fond memories years ago when attending the Diwali functions. They were vibrant, happy and fun. These days, I usually cook at home with some simple meals and sweets.
Here is my artwork for the occasion. My cow is holding a diya in its hands. Artwork was done on Autodesk Sketchbook. Added a gold confetti animation using Lumyer app.
If there’s one thing I hate, it’s forgetting to set the clocks an hour back. Not to mention the endless unfinished tasks.
Comic Draw has been a lifesaver when it comes to creating the panels and the text bubbles within the app. Started to find my groove with the app in terms of font styles and keeping a consistent color palette, so yay 😁
Staring at the moon has always been a source of comfort. Maybe it’s part romantic on my end, but I really do enjoy watching the phases of the moon. I’m often reminded that in the darkest of times, there’s always hope.
May your weekend be filled with magical moments, moo.
Happy Halloween everyone! My all-time favorite holiday of the year (next to Christmas). I also created a whimsical animated GIF of my character riding on a broomstick. Quite a different experience when animating instead of making still images.
Hope you stay safe during this moo-gical time 🐮What are you planning to do for Halloween?
