I originally wanted to title this post “So, I hijacked my son’s school project” but I don’t think it’ll sit well with Google. I ended up changing it to make it less awkward 😅
For the record, my son was cooperative in allowing me to create his feather. He simply wanted to choose the color and pictures of our family (not shown here, due to privacy reasons).
But goodness, this was a lot of fun to make 😂 my son’s teacher wanted us to create something that was Thanksgiving related. I ended up drawing Betsy holding a balloon with the phrase “Thankful for my family.” For this piece, I used Prismacolor markers.
Any parents out there who took over their kids art projects? 😆 let me know in the comments below.
Hi friends 👋 I decided to get my hands on the ArtSnacks July 2019 subscription box, which features the theme of watercolours. I adore watercolours a lot as this is what I mostly use for my Betsy illustrations.
Each of the items in my box worked so well together, it was impossible not to get giddy on the art supplies ☺️
Since the two watercolour paints are rose and yellow, I decided to incorporate them to my illustration piece featuring Betsy as a flamenco dancer. Doesn’t she look lovely in her dress?
I did a quick review on the ArtSnacks box, which you can find here on my IGTV channel. And, if you’re interested in trying out ArtSnacks, you can check out this link here to take 10% off your first subscription box.
I hope you had an udderly fantastic Wednesday!
Happy December, fam. We are at the last month of the year. Can’t believe that 2018 has been filled with exciting and life changing moments for me.
Speaking of exciting – I found my stash of Prismacolor Markers while cleaning my office. I’ve bought them about two – three years ago and quite surprised that it hasn’t dried out! I felt pretty giddy and decided to find my stationary heavy stock paper and did a quick sketch of my chubby cow standing next to a holly plant.
These were the markers I’ve used to create my little artwork. I’m hoping to incorporate some more traditional art on my page. I had to keep reminding myself that there’s no copy and paste function when making the circles round 😅 oh, how far we’ve come with technology these days…
What are your plans to make December memorable? Would love to hear your thoughts 💭
